Next in line is the neck. This may be the most critical aspect of the entire project. While the the tone of the guitar is paramount, if the neck profile is too full or too thin for you the bottom line is that it will be uncomfortable. Mark has devised an interesting procedure for helping achieve the neck profile you're most comfortable with. In these pictures you can see how the neck is cut from the "blank" Once the neck is cut, the headstock overlay or "veneer" is then glued on the Logo glued in and the binding is applied. after that, the headstock is shaped and the holes drilled for the tuners. The neck is then carved to the profile and the fingerboard is glued on. While this is going on the body is also being worked on and readied for the day when they will be united.
